Short Review by Dr. Poonam Verma

As I stand today in the year 2020, I look back and realize that I have spent the last 32 years significantly engaging with young college students.   During 1987 – 2008, as their teacher for the area of management and organizational behavior.  And then, since 2008, as Principal of the college having thousands of students on its roll.
I believe Brig. Kapoor’s book is a good effort to bring out the reasons, the process, and framework to channelize the unbound energy and drive of young Millennials, thus unleashing their hidden potential and enabling them to fulfill their dreams.
He has taken the approach of starting from a broader, macro-level assessment of the economy, zeroing it down to micro level – the youth.   The book, during this journey, also looks at leadership aspects, talent acquisition and retention, engaging the youth and motivating them towards excellent results, capability development and finally, converting the right candidates into entrepreneurs.
Millennials and technology are like synonyms.   Brig. Kapoor has built very well in this book how technology and high familiarity quotient of Millennials can be a sustainable advantage for the companies engaging the Millennials in a positive way.
Coming back to my own learning and sharing the thoughts, I find Millennials to be change agents. They will surely be the game changers, whether working as employees or as entrepreneurs. They are restless, brimming with energy. And they do not accept the status quo.  They question the given.   They do not accept or appreciate the concepts being taught to them unless they get involved unless they see the clear value addition.  But yes, once they are committed, they would go to any extent to fulfill their promise.
